This strip has individually controllable RGB LEDs which can display any color in any sequence programmed. I want to use these everywhere.

10/2/2011 Update: Laser firing video added below.
This work cell includes 3 Adept robots. The middle one for positioning, and the 2 side ones for lasers. I just figured out getting the 3 robots attached and working independently from the same controller.

A nice bar conversation with a drummer last week put me on to the ability to convert my acoustic drums to electric. I already had an electric kit, which I hate playing because the pads make so much noise. Some fiberglass screen, some dental floss (a.k.a. "fencing thread"), and a set of piezo triggers comes out like this. It's very quiet and the triggers pick up everything. One down, four to go.

When my friend bought a diesel powered tugboat, Tug Irene, I somehow became a Chief Engineer on a diesel powered tugboat. There's so much great engineering/maintenance in a working tugboat. Here's our first time dropping the anchor.

I was going to give an Arduino to a friend for his birthday. Then I figured I'd just package it in the pretty red Sparkfun box. Then I thought I'd make it into a project.
